I began this website after writing our son's story of recovery from severe head injury. I pray that it will help and encourage others who are also struggling with head injury or any difficult trial.

Organized in 2004 as a grassroots effort whose mission is to offer support to the families of American service members and veterans who have suffered traumatic brain injuries. In 2006 AVBI.org was established to provide a web-based peer support network for these veterans and their family members.
